Summer 2024 Throwing Crash Course
These three-week sessions are a fast dive into throwing pots on the ceramics wheel. This is a fun way to wade into a new skillset this summer and join our fun and supportive ceramics community.
Great for brand-new potters and those with just a little experience, this class is geared towards early-stage potters. Those who are interested in handbuilding are welcome, but know that our instructors’ focus will be on throwing; we’ll help and support handbuilders as much as possible, but will not lead specific handbuilding projects.
Disclaimer: three weeks is definitely not enough time for a full ceramics cycle. Ceramics is unpredictable in nature and many factors are outside of our control such as humidity and drying times, so we encourage students to come with a growth mindset that is flexible and open. Due to this, students must plan to come in during the week post-class to finish up & glaze pieces that require it. There are a range of hours that are possible; we’ll communicate this during class.
